Being intimidated by the religious thugs threatening violence seems to be a growing fad. This needs to stop. I mirror this video that was taken down by youtube for a terms of use violation – (being offensive to the deluded). Here it is again on the blog.
You and your dogma can go away, the sooner, the better.

I think it is more important to be purging our OWN dogma ridden politicians. Start speaking out when Youth for Christ gets federal money to build a skate park while local aboriginal after school drop in centres close for lack of funds. There’s the dangerous dogma in MY neighbourhood. And the press should be following THAT, and they’re all worried about some pictures of Mohamed thousands of miles away while turning their backs on their own communities. Dogma is what the new Department of Relgious Freedom is about. THAT’s what we should be objecting to, as Canadians. The more dangerous dogma to Canada is christian, not muslim.
However, censoring this little clip is pretty stupid. What is says is that YouTube WILL respect Muslims because it is afraid of a similar outrage from Christians — a far more powerful group right now, that Youtube won’t stand up too.

Much of what we post on you tube and other places meant to be a levity or a “off the top” comment are read by foreign bodies who perceive honestly they are meant to offend or, picked up by an extreme disturber who feels they can flip it into an offensive example.
What we post is not necessarily what is read. I am very sure the ignorance on all sides outweighs the knowledge. And, I am just as sure that most people comfortable (lazy) in their personal read on things is not going to investigate or even attempt to understand.
This I think is all preferable to gagging this or that group! It carries over to Canadian Politics where they much revered open post policies of the CBC (now under the gun) have got a Conservative heavy on the approval board for judging what posts can go up and what can’t.
The Conservatives are pulling out all stops to protect and offer issues for the embattled provincial governments and it appears that truth is no a condition of the argument.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :)
I’m not surprised the Conservatives are beating up on the CBC. Journalism that doesn’t have to answer to a corporate master is a scary thing for them. I just hope they do not do so much damage that it wrecks the CBC permanently as it my beloved source of classical music, information and news.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :) I agree with you, catering to any particular groups belief in magic is a dangerous thing when it comes to the open marketplace of ideas.

The Conservatives have got their heavies on staff at the CBC now, in the area that controls or approves comments.
If it strongly supports another party ; it doesn’t go up!
If it strongly criticizes with reason; it doesn’t go up!
In my case they have gone so far as to go to my personal page and indicate there the comment has been posted where as it definitely has not.
This is far too much tampering to be a policy of any kind,

Un-fracking-believable. I’m going to have to try and comment on a few of the articles on the CBC website and see the tomfoolery in action. :/
