This is a technical look at religious arguments, both for and against the way way in which religion describes our experience. I suggest you skim the preview of the paper for more understanding, but the video is an adequate primer for answering the following question – Are your beliefs, theistic or non-theist,ic causing you to beg the doxastic question?

Good question! One which will definitely require thought…

I can’t help but to think there is a little bit of slippage between biographic and argumentative considerations in this.

My disbelief isn’t contingent on my accepting or rejecting silly arguments, such as the ontological argument, that are inherently flawed and set up false dilemmas, but rather a matter of there being no proof for a god existing. Once I started caring whether my beliefs were true or not it became a simple matter to reevaluate all beliefs that I carried that had no compelling evidence for them.
The fact that christianity is so easy to pick apart certainly eased my transition as well. I do credit youtube atheists like thunderfoot and thermian trees for helping me see opposition to arguments I was indoctrinated as a child to belief. I also credit youtube theists such as Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron for being so ridiculous to turn me off of christianity.
