Don’t believe me, go check it out yourself. Try searching up the Cass Report, WPATH, or the Tavistock Clinic. The memory hole is real over in CBC land.

The CBC is like NPR North: you must continue to pay us, taxpayers, so that we can continue to hate on you, you racist misogynist, colonizing, cisnormative transphobe. Now where’s my CBC-approved keffiyeh; I have an anti-Jewish rally to cover.
And the result?
Posted positions in other public institutions must meet the same mark of ideological approval as the CBC. Like this one…
Math prof job posting at U of Waterloo: “To address legal requirements for supporting underrepresented groups in the CRC program, eligible candidates for this search are required to identify as a woman or gender minority, which is defined to include individuals who self-identify as women, transgender, gender-fluid, nonbinary and Two-Spirit people.”
We’re talking math. Get out your nail polish, guys…

I sent them a letter on April 11 – Hello: A very major report has been released in the UK – the Final Cass Report. Reverberations of that report have included several new government inquiries into how the NHS and others agencies. And yet, not a word of this report has been covered by the CBC. Is there a particular reason for that? It has been covered widely in the UK, Germany and the US, but not at all by the CBC. Why is that?
They replied with a link to a piece where a doctor claimed that the research was in fact robust, dated 4 days after my letter: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/puberty-blockers-review-1.7172920 The article lets ridiculous statements go completely unchallenged.

At some point, CBC silence in the case of the final and incredibly damning Cass Report about gender care and affirmation-only mandated treatment becomes criminal complicity.
In my opinion, the CBC English portion has already crossed this line. They are complicit. Maybe not by policy (I don’t know), but certainly by practice. Radio Canada’s recent Trans Express is the only saving grace I can think of that the entire organization and every single one of its employees and contract staff has in the face of unconditionally supporting what the Cass Report demonstrates is this travesty. There is no excuse available any longer of a national, publicly funded media organization of continuing to go along with and promoting and excusing and rationalizing the ongoing medical experimentation on our children. None whatsoever. This failure to advocate for children before ideology tells me the entire senior staff should be summarily fired if not criminally charged.

Here in the US it’s as if NYT and WaPo are taking their cue from CBC. You’ll get a couple of mentions on searching their archives (and the “trans”-critical pieces either get overwhelming reader support in the comments, or have the comments shut down or turned off from the start) — but nearly everything critical is categorized as “anti-trans” in the headlines. It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets journalism.
