If you want to keep Alberta Health Care, Vote Liberal.
If you want to avoid huge tax increases, Large increases to utilities, Vote Liberal.
Both Smith and Redford say they will do away with the flat tax.
Both Smith and Redford say they will not raise Taxes.
Both Smith and Redford say they will put in the incremented scale of taxation (republican)
Both Smith and Redford say they will not increase Royalty which are presently zero!
http://albertathedetails.blogspot.com/2012/02/alberta-royalty-explained.html
This means Individuals, small and medium companies will pay more taxes while the larger firms get a free ride. (Again, Republican)
The Liberals say they will increase by 2% those incomes over 100,000 dollars. A sensible honest and progressive solution!
We do not need or want extreme in our lives and we do not want nor do we need huge extra expenses into our households so two extreme parties can prove who is the most brutal of the crew.

Looks like Albertans took the least repugnant option of the two that were presented to us. Let us hope that Redford can now live up to her promises to change Alberta for the better. I do believe she is considerably better than Stelmach.
Also, I agree with going back to a progressive tax system. The flat tax in Alberta actually raises the taxes of 95% of the people and drastically lowered them for the top 5%, to a tune of nearly $5 Billion per year.
