I need the Mosquito Death Star, Stat!

I was so pumped when I first saw the TED talk about the system designed with digital cameras and lasers that could burn the little blood suckers right out of the air. That was in 2010. Have they done anything with it yet after inventing the darn system? Nope.

You would think that going all StarWars on mosquitoes would be the dream of many, but alas, they are not making kits or as it would seem have any plan to do so. Unhelpfully they suggested a DIY method, that only costs in the thousands of dollars. :(
