I saw this on Echidne’s blog; but it kind of confuses me to be honest. The theme of the Snickers ads is that people are not “themselves” when hungry; so does this mean that those workers would go back to whistles and catcalls if they had a candy bar? Or are we to assume this happened post-Snickers?

Syrbal already said what I came here to. It’s sad that misogyny is the norm and empowering messages is them not being them. I know, not exactly a revelation, but I think those (fake) guys could go without a candy bar that day :) Or ever.

I’m fairly certain that this is supposed to be happening after eating the candy. Isn’t it wonderful? All this time of dealing with jerk-faces, and all it took was some chocolate to turn them into decent human beings.

@Mystro – Arb can certainly attest a sufficient quantity of chocolate can have that effect on me!

@Mystro – Hmmm… That is better on the candy bar maker in question if that is the case. I’ve not heard of someone presenting it like that before though. I just assumed when it says “What happens when builders aren’t themselves? Lets find out!” at the beginning that the following would be builders not acting like themselves.

Funny how acting like a decent human being can only be depicted in the surreal land of advertising.
Thank you candy bar for showing us a better tomorrow…
