Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff. I remember reading before that the theory of relativity was also a theory of constants because it explains why the laws of physics are always constant (like the speed of light.)
Maxwell’s unification of electricity and magnetism predicted the phenomenon of light (electromagnetic waves) and it’s speed. Einstein developed SR from a though experiment: if he rode on a motorcycle at the speed of light next to a beam of light, then it would be standing still pulsing up and down which would defy Maxwell’s equations. Therefore, in order for the laws of physics to be constant, the speed of light had to be constant.
Around the same time the Michelson-Morely experiment showed the speed of light was the same in all directions.

You’re welcome. I always like discussing relativity and quantum mechanics. I just know basic stuff you read in books. But you can still understand a lot about what’s going on and philosophical implications.
Minute Labs looks real interesting. I put them on my Tumblr. Thanks for the reference.
