The real facts are that if women kicked men out of the realm of making decisions about women’s bodies, they would have no say over who gets born. That’s actually a pretty big deal, so no wonder they resist. I read an interesting comment recently arguing that humans learning to determine paternity was a terrible thing for women. It gives men a specific way to feel possessive over women’s bodies that we could certainly do without. I have read more than one woman saying that if you do choose to become pregnant and give birth, never name the father. It’s a sad indictment on men, but I see their point.

One of my childhood friends was a twin, and apparently the triplet died, and the other twin was physically and mentally disabled. The fit twin was told she kicked the triplet out. Weird story. So, holding the hand of the unborn one doesn’t ring true in that scenario.
As a side point, because I knew the twins from young, I never treat them differently. When we all grew older, the disabled one was less happy to meet her twin’s friends. Sad. But I predated that stereotyping, so I didn’t count.
I digress totally, but it’s a big issue about physical/mental disability.

Fetuses are non-sentient and non-sapient.
The capacity for sentience is not possible until the 25th week of gestation, and even then they are un-conscious whilst in utero. This is why fetuses that are born en caul (aminotic sac doesn’t break) do not wake up – until they breathe in oxygen, they have zero awareness.
Also, one funny thing…
Why is it that fetuses are so magical that they can hold hands and even masturbate in utero, but once they are born they seem to lose all motor control?
