Also, the patriarchy hurts everyone. Men are hurt in multiple ways through the expectation of toxic masculinity. Not getting sympathy is an issue and this guy needs to understand that the cause is the same one that causes women to fear for their safety pretty much at all times. Embracing those that want to knock patriarchy down is the solution. And honestly whining about women getting free drinks because I am sure most women worry both about the free drink being spiked with drugs and being assaulted if they refuse the drink. “Free drinks” is not really worth it in and of itself, nonetheless all the other patriarchal bullshit that goes with it.

No man has ever gotten sympathy about anything, including… I dunno… raping a woman and getting away with it. There are never women ready to give sympathy to a man because they’ve integrated misogyny. Makes sense…

It’s what I call The Scales of Patriarchy. Everything negative that men experience is magnified, while the harms that women endure are reduced. Hence, a man beating a woman half to death and a woman pushing a man who is threatening her are both ‘domestic violence’, and when 98% of child sex offenders are men that means ‘women do it too’… you get my drift. The ratio seems to be about 1:50. When one woman kills her male partner ‘women are just as bad’, but when 50 men kill female family members we are reminded that ‘not all men are like that’.
