Learning a new skill. Learn from an experienced teacher or professional as they really help you avoid the Dunning-Kruger Effect, which is oversimplified, you don’t know how bad you are until you know how bad you are.
Or perhaps end up like this, an individual who believes they have a six octave range. :)

That IS hilarious. . I’m always amazed by people who cannot carry a tune. . . my husband is one of those. The thing is, what he lacks in talent he makes up for in enthusiasm. :)

Funny guy. Likeable looking too- like he’d be open to criticism. Great example of the chart where low knowledge/ experience allows near total confidence. If teachers or experts have a political or economic agenda, msm, you get overconfident sheeple.

I’m pretty sure that chart is inaccurate. Real geniuses are always humble and acknowledge their limitations, it seems like.

I’m sorry Bob. I have to blame my schedule now. I’ve been temporarily laid off of my job at the University, where I do almost all of my blogging. So instead of getting the next week of posts ready, I’ve been cleaning out the flower beds (our first positive double digit day), and stacking some firewood.
Apologies for my oversight. :)
