Sorry folks, the videos in question are only available on Twitter at the moment. But what they depict is a trans identified male assaulting someone in front of the police. The police response was to do nothing and call the incidence a ‘mutual fight’.
The police are there to enforce the laws for everyone in society. This did not happen. Please contact the Vancouver Police department and register a complaint against this officer for not upholding the law.
The law needs to be for everyone equally. Men in womanface should not get a ‘pass’ when they become violent and assault people.
Please contact the Vancouver Police Department and file a complaint against these officers that refused to enforce the law.

“Please find attached a link to the assault in question .
I feel there should be consequences for both the assault committed and the mishandling by your officers.
It is not less than blatantly obvious who was provoking who and who hit who in the video .
It is also blatantly obvious as to policing bias in application of law.
This scene is PR nightmare and very damaging to vpd image
I would hope that you would find even application of the law a priority and realign the reactions of these officers to reflect impartiality.
Thank you for your time
Sincerely”

Just to be clear, this was on 4/1, “Trans Day of Visibility?”
Here in the U.S. there was supposed to be a “Trans Day of Vengeance” protest outside SCOTUS, cancelled because the Nashville mass shooter was trans, though the sponsoring org “TRAN” insists the “vengeance” part was tongue-in-cheek (it was quite literal, though — see Eliza Mondegreen’s screenshots for details: https://open.substack.com/pub/elizamondegreen/p/im-in-twitter-jail-for-tweeting-about?utm_source=direct&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web).
In essence, the long-predicted violent meltdown is here, and it’s both physical and literal. New Zealand, U.S., Canada.

Called. Left message of complaint. It’s victim blaming at it’s best. A guy wearing a sign is talking to reporter. He harassed no one. Gets verbally accosted and then assaulted, and Vancouver Police laugh about it. It looks like violence is the new “I just want to pee”.
