I spent a fair amount of time poking fun at the US right-wing here on DWR. But as of late is that very same right wing that is standing up and fighting for the rights, boundaries, and safety of women. The noisy befuddled activist Left has taken over the discourse on the Left and as result it has turned into utter identitarian hogwash.
The Left I knew was about promoting the interests of the working class and helping people get to a place economically and socially where they could contribute to society and have a reasonable life within the bounds of our Western values. Now? It is intersectionality 24/7 in a competition to see is the most oppressed and who is best at fracturing society into warring factions bent on dismantling the very system that lets them spout their egregious bullshite.
So, you have to look to whomever has the most reasonable and fact based ideas – it is how we actually progress as a nation.

I thought the same when I saw this news. Why from the right? At the same time, her terminology includes removing a woman’s right to abortion. Of course, planned parenthood has abandoned women as well, really.

Cancelling women and implementing a misogynistic anti-liberal ideology on everyone seems to be a goal driven especially hard by middle to upper class white ‘liberal’ women. The clue rests with the painfully obvious difficulty universities across the West had in condemning the atrocity of terrorism by Hamas – universities with majority of students being middle to upper class women… which gives us a pretty clear message of what universities have become: indoctrination factories for anti-women misogynistic anti-liberal ideology. The tribalism of ‘belonging’ to the captured left means supporting just this. Hence, common sense only from the right.

The “Left”, or what passes for what was traditionally considered “left-wing”, no longer has any interest in championing the goals of the working class. What I would refer to as the “New Left” is authoritarian, and is made up of primarily the upper middle classes, and the very rich. They don’t want discussion or debate; they want strict adherence to their “woke” ideology. They can also be defined as a group with “luxury beliefs”, which is to say they are not subject to the ramifications of the belief system they wish to impose on everybody else.

It was never this bad when I was at University. If you can believe it, we actually had a Women’s Collective group that offered a female only space on campus and place to learn about the feminist issues of the day. How far we’ve come… :/

Universities generally have become indoctrination factories while warnings about this infection have become hate speech. Accounts to numerous to cite from faculty tell us about the legitimate fear of highly negative consequences for anyone daring to stand in the way and criticizing from within. So we now have captured institutions dedicated to teaching the next generation that the West is evil and everything about it shameful.
I have been saying for quite some time that if people have the choice between woke anarchy and authoritarian safety, they will choose safety every time. When the right populist comes around and promises and can deliver brutal safety for those willing to give up their rights and freedoms, the tidal wave of support for the populist will wash away the last best hope for humanity as liberalism dies in the mouths and actions of deplorable ‘justice’ warriors.
