I want to meet the people who thought this was – somehow – a good idea.
I’m not sure in which world this is “being kind”. Because it certainly isn’t “kind” to the females being forcibly confined with violent males in female prison.

Once upon a time before today’s Age of Stupid, satire was humorous and we could collectively laugh at the absurdities. Now it’s predictive, deadly serious, and truly misogynistic. Oh, and… wait for it… believing in absurdity is now ‘progressive’ and we do so because it supposedly fosters ‘social justice’!

What is really horrifying about this is that now female prison guards in female prisons are asking to be armed. Currently they are not. Women’s prisons are far different from men’s. They are often cottage style and even have accommodations for small children to stay with their mothers. I encourage readers to look up Heather Mason, who I heard speak at the Reality Based Women conference in Toronto. So now, we will have women living with armed guards and in fear for their lives, fear of sexual assault and pregnancy, and their children’s safety. Somehow these changes came without public consultation, and very very little public awareness.
