Either you follow the evidence and the scientific method, or you do not. The hard sciences are a bastion of sorts against the bullshit that is running wild in the humanities. It isn’t for lack of trying on behalf of the activist bullshiters.

I don’t think gravity or the electromagnetic spectrum or momentum or entropy gives a rat’s ass about the sex or colour of skin or ethnicity or feelings of people studying these. And no amount of words will change the subject under inquiry. At all. Just spitballin’ here.

The Abstract was enough for me. This got published and I wonder why. Were the publishers trying hard to be “fair” including such nonsense.
When I left teaching my rather large chemistry department was majority female. This was none with no epistemic bullshit whatsoever. Chemistry was, like most of the “hard sciences” dominated by men, especially since so few women were working and so few going to graduate school. (There was prejudice against women in graduate schools, I witness this first hand. I am not saying there wasn’t.) But now, the majority of college students are female and many of the “male-dominated” fields are no longer so.
There is always and always will be bias in hiring committees to select people “like us.” But when I was hired into my last job, the chemistry department chair was Vietnamese and when I left she was Indian in heritage. Change happens, bitches, even in the sciences!
