“So, what is the takeaway from this analysis? The single biggest observation is that, contrary to what has been asserted by advocates of youth transition, most adolescents with a GD diagnosis will not have this diagnosis within as few as seven years, during the period of rapid identity development. The single most important implication is that there is no empirical basis for assuming that most adolescents presenting with GD are destined to live as gender-transitioned adults. This further suggests that the GD diagnosis presents a dubious basis for offering teens life-altering interventions with permanent impacts on health and functioning.”

So many folk solidly onboard the True Believer gender train have paid no attention whatsoever to the fact that we’ve known for more than a handful of years that well over 80% of kids self-identified as ‘born in the wrong body’ will develop into having been born in the ‘right’ body if they are allowed to go through puberty. Crickets by activists and those who support their agenda. And what continues to amaze me is the disregard of legitimate concern – especially by many in the gay movement – that the large majority of these kids are same-sex attracted.
Well, golly gee whiz, I wonder why these kids might have felt a wee bit of discomfort with their developing sexuality as young adolescents? So lets get out the damaging hormones and sharpened scalpels to address this discomfort and call it a ‘human right’. Yup, better to irrevocably alter their bodies by medical intervention to address the temporary brain-based discomfort. And we’ll call blindly supporting this ‘kind’ intervention the ‘new’ civil rights movement in order to feel ever so virtuous this push to mutilate children. And pay no attention to anything true that doesn’t first align with this belief in fixed but fluid gender identity.
