It has been awhile since I posted a Subnormality comic here, and after getting a unwelcome visit by “concerned people” about my soul, this strip seems appropriate.
This is an appeal to clear the cobwebs and remember those crazy and badly acted action flicks. Gems like Commando and Total Recall. You can go early 90’s but we need the vintage of Action Genre. Please post your suggestions in the comments..:)
We just finished watching Total Recall, so you cannot use that one. :>
It is good to know that there are the few and the brave willing to test what being in an Zombie Apocalypse would actually be like. Based on the Left 4 Dead series by Valve the Immersion team puts watermel…err Zombies to the test.
This is a delightful video. Nothing illustrates the absurdity of a bigoted position like keeping the content and switching the roles. Kudos to youtuber healthyaddict for posting this vid and especially for introducing me to Greta Christina’s Blog. I highly recommend checking the blog out for some truly thorough and well written debunking of theistic skulduggery.
Why not?
EW YORK, N.Y. – If lingerie is too intimate and dinner out is too expensive, the Bronx Zoo suggests another Valentine’s Day gift: a Madagascar hissing cockroach.
Spokesman John Calvelli says, “Nothing says forever like a cockroach.”
The Wildlife Conservation Society runs the New York City zoo and is raising funds by offering the public the chance to name the huge roaches. In return for each name, it’s asking for a $10 donation.
Calvelli says about 1,700 cockroach names were bought in the first two days of the promotion. Recipients get a certificate.
The zoo says naming a roach will honour a sweetheart’s resourcefulness and resiliency. As the zoo puts it: “Flowers wilt. Chocolates melt. Roaches are forever.”
This is the extended weather forecast for my region.

It feels like we are a hapless bird in a wonky convection oven that regularly decided to blast warm and cold air for days at at time. This weekend was highlighted by positive temperatures and freezing rain mixed with snow.
Yes, for those of us who used the nice weather (3 days in a row above zero) to finally scrape and clean their sidewalks and driveway down to the concrete, that work was undone over the course of 24 hours as everything was recoated in snow and ice for my convenience.
So after work today, I once again have my winter recreational activities cut out for me. I really do not mind winter, but the weather really needs to decide to be either cold or warm and not fluctuate wildly between the two.
