While I have little respect for religion I have too much respect for the people that do practice it to support a Draw Mohammad Day, or for that matter a Piss on a Crucifix Day. It just seems like another opportunity for otherwise sane progressive people to join with the far right in attacking Muslims.

I’m not sure where attacking Muslims come into the picture. It is clearly the religious aspect that is being mocked and ridiculed as it is clearly a irrational belief that has no place in the modern world. Pick any group that insists on partaking in delusional behaviour and the response should be the same: you’re nice people but really really have to drop the magical bullshite ideas that retard your grasp on reality and please join us in the 21st century.

I supported this last year and I will support it this year. I am tolerant of religions, I support peoples freedom to say and believe what they want to, I am intolerant of intolerance and religions that tell me I can not have free speech……. rock on May 20th and 21st, I will see you all on the 22nd at my local starbucks in Raleigh NC (Stonehenge buckies) for a morning coffee….. Oh, how will you know me, I will be the one wearing my Muhammad tea shirt
