Not so much of the unveiled hate we’re used to this disservice, but more of an exploration of the hoops people will jump through to keep their chosen godhead happy. This video is about growing up in a fundamentalist christian household and the demonstrably evil toys that were not allowed stain one persons childhood. One can never be too careful as we all know that Care-bears are the direct line to Satan.
My Little Pony is apparently hell on wheels as well. Behold!

What I find problematic about Fundamentalist Christianity when it comes to demonizing toys is that it misses many fundamental concepts that we have learned through understanding the human psyche. Toy play is a form of imaginative thinking, and also a form of escapism. Why would children living in fundamentalism need an “escape”? Secondly, imagination is “in my mind” the gateway to creativity and I deplore the stifling of such acts because it is similar to the demonization of free thought by the religious. It is why I find much of religious teaching to be ingenuous. In one breath it condemns murder, and in the next endorses it in the name of God.
You can’t have it both ways. Ultimately at its core, it is indoctrination of the utmost vile caliber, that innocent children are brainwashed to believe that much of what they see of the world is demonic, or wrong, then embodying them as right/righteous, and to essentially deny reality in favor of a swap with magical thinking, self empowered delusion and mythology. Its why to a degree I feel that religion can be very literally criminal in nature when used in a cult-like manner, or little more than brainwashing the innocent. I am certainly not against the freedom of religion, but against the abuse of children for the sake of religion that crosses the line, in my opinion.
