Notes To Ponder
Climate change will bite us in the ass long before we wake up – money talks, reality walks.
Off topic but something I’ve meant to tell you for a while – if you get a chance try to watch the HBO documentary called Collapse. It’s just over an hour long and features Michael Ruppert – really interesting. I know you’ll like it :)

I think I’ve seen that doc already. I just don’t remember it, I’m working some possibly quiet shifts on coming up so I will have to refresh my memory. Thank you for the recommendation.
Sad, but true. People will think things are great until Florida is underwater, then there might be an ‘oh shit’ moment followed by a great deal consternation.
Inability to think past the short term almost seems to be an evolutionary feature of our species.

The “Vice” piece on Greenland’s ice melt is pretty good as well. When we think of ice, we normally think of “white” yet a lot of the ice is grey or black from all the soot from the extended fire seasons and forest fires. This of course heats up the ice faster, more ice melts, etc. etc. etc..
As for environmentalism or climate deniers, get Russia and China to care about what’s going on and we may have a chance. Otherwise, we might as well be investing heavily in the space program, aka the “Earthling Relocation Program.”
And since it’s being privatized, maybe we can make some money off it, too. ;)

Good luck trying to convince the deniers. As I’ve recently found out, to my grief, once somebody gets locked on nonsensical ideas, it might take to TNT to get it out of their heads.

Dynamite Idea!! *groan* It’s before coffee, my apologies. It seems to be one the basics now for arguing to agree that if the evidence points to stance B, stance B should be accepted – no matter how awesome choice A is.
