…or not

She chooses the muddiest spot in the whole pasture to go for a roll

And shovels hay around with her face before eating it
Pepper is not halterbroke, but is cautiously interested in humans. She is four years old, of unknown breeding, and available for placement in an appropriate forever home from Rescue 100 Horses Foundation.

It was a while between when I took these pictures and when they got posted; Pepper has a placement pending.

Once Pepper goes home (assuming everything works out) we will have two adults and a yearling. There is another horse and a donkey coming sometime this month.

Awesome job! Does that mean you’ve helped rescue 98 horses so far?

The original 100 horses were in 2008 (it was actually 109, and rapidly turned into more, since most of the mares were pregnant), and all of those have been placed. Since then, we’ve rescued over 300 horses! I think Pepper is #320.
Here’s a video with a bit of the history: http://www.albertaprimetime.com/Stories.aspx?pd=5162
