I was reminded of something comedian Lenny Bruce said back in the late 60’s:
“If Jesus had been killed twenty years ago, Catholic school children would be wearing little electric chairs around their necks instead of crosses.”

That was priceless. It has all the best reasons why I couldn’t play that game — the whole lack of responsibility scapegoating of a demi-god thing. ‘Course, the folks yelling at me about my Kantian “no person being a means to an end” thing, knew neither Kant, nor Ivan Karamazov who also “gave back god’s ticket” for the same reasons.
