The notion that the bible is the inerrant word of god is a joke. Try more like the ‘telephone game’ but using different languages and just saying no to clarity and connection to historical accuracy.

I was kind of thinking that this was your cup of tea. :>
OT: Have you slapped Richard silly yet for his abuse of coherency and rambling wall o’ texts stream of consciousness horse-pucky?

Well, there you have it. A coherent explanation of the Christian holy texts. That’s not something you’ll get from a believer though. Merikans think Jesus was white and spoke English because the King James bible is god’s innerant word. They profess fondness for their NT but few of them really read it. Ever sit in on a Sunday sermon? Half of them jump from book to book picking up just a verse or two each time so they can create the lesson they want rather than stick to the script on the pages. I don’t mean contrasting the same story as written in the four gospels, I mean jumping OT to NT and all over as if the books were written to contain some coherent thought across the hundreds of years it took to write them. You might as well call Dan Brown a prophet, at least his story was tightly woven and ‘seemed’ coherent.
