JK Rowling linking to the NY Times opinion piece The Far Right and Far Left Agree on One Thing: Women Don’t Count where Pamela Paul, the author, takes both the right and the left to task for oppressing women and girls.
TERFS might yet save us all from this gender insanity.

And probably the most potent bit from Pamela Paul’s piece is this undeniable anti-female bigoted pattern emerging systemically:
(E)ven the word “women” has become verboten. Previously a commonly understood term for half the world’s population, the word had a specific meaning tied to genetics, biology, history, politics and culture. No longer. In its place are unwieldy terms like “pregnant people,” “menstruators” and “bodies with vaginas.”
Planned Parenthood, once a stalwart defender of women’s rights, omits the word “women” from its home page. NARAL Pro-Choice America has used “birthing people” in lieu of “women.” The American Civil Liberties Union, a longtime defender of women’s rights, last month tweeted its outrage over the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade as a threat to several groups: “Black, Indigenous and other people of color, the L.G.B.T.Q. community, immigrants, young people.”
It left out those threatened most of all: women. Talk about a bitter way to mark the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

Kind of hard to support women’s rights when there are no women. Even the newest Supreme Court Justice isn’t sure if she’s a woman. She’s not a biologist, after all.

It is a little strange to be unsure who exactly is a woman, but to say without reservation, “I’m not a biologist”. Surely “biologist” is a more arbitrary category than “woman”, and harder to define. Couldn’t she just identify as a biologist? Then. presumably, she’d know what a woman was. :)

Here’s a very interesting article on linking the assault on children’s psyches from CRT (Critical Race Theory) with ROGD (Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria) here. It’s very good with lots of excellent links.
“Any effort to bring this mental and physical health crisis to an end will have to account for the soft infrastructure of the gender-identity movement. This means, among other things, acknowledging the deep but often unnoticed connection between “ethnic studies” (and various other iterations of “critical pedagogy”) and “LGBTQ+” identification. Instructed to view their humanity through the distortive lens of “white supremacy,” California’s teen girls are seeking refuge in puberty blockers, testosterone injections, and double mastectomies, while their parents are almost powerless to stop them. These girls are the sacrificial lambs offered up by the high priests of white guilt. The state’s ESMC (Ethnic Studies) was obviously not intended to visit disproportionate harm on girls and women, but perhaps the Left should heed the advice of its own prophet, Ibram X. Kendi, that we ought to judge a policy not by its intention but by its effects.
