Civil disobedience was a large part of the protests to end the war in Vietnam. Civil Disobedience will be a part of protests in end the war in Gaza.

@SM
Vietnam was a conflict the US was directly involved in. This is a proxy war at best for the US, and Israel will continue to fight, with or without the support of the US. The activist interest in the war in Gaza illustrates the selective and dubious nature of these protests. 227,000 dead in the Yemeni Civil war – no protests. The Mulgars in China, where the women have been subjected to campaigns of forced sterilization and rape – not a peep. 1.7 million Afghanis forced to leave Pakistan and return to the long knives of the Taliban – nary a campus occupation in sight.
Then we have Hamas planning and executing an attack consisting of the rape, torture and murder of civilians of another country. The inevitable backlash and consequences of their actions from October 7th…. and what do we have? The activist Left going ape-shit and demonstrating causing chaos, but strangely enough, this is a phenomena only happening in Western countries. So, 227,000 dead from civil war = crickets. 24,000 (+/-) Palestinians dead – Wall to wall protests in the West. What is the difference?
The difference is that in the first conflict no Jewish people are involved. In the second, Jewish people are involved. There is a strong case to be made for anti-antisemitism because the “peace activists” are strangely VERY particular as to which causes they protest.
The democratically elected government of the Gaza strip started a war with Israel. The war will end when Hamas is eradicated or surrenders unconditionally along with the return of the hostages.
