I was very much impressed by the clarity of Natasha Hausdorff, arguing for the proposition with DM. Like the very good lawyer she is, NH exposed the level of the cherry picking distortion relied upon by anti-Zionists like British-American (and columnist for Qatar’s al jezeera) talking head Medhi Hasan. She showed just how much intentional deception it takes to announce re-written historical references as if they were the ‘corrected’ version, and showed why such lies are the necessary foundation to present anti-Zionism as if anti-colonial rather than anti-Semitic (because only when it comes to Jews is it considered ‘colonial’ for an indigenous people to return to their historical homeland). Remember, the two state ‘solution’ itself is predicated on accepting one of those states as Israel. That is Zionism – the right for Israel to exist – and it has to be fundamental to any long term solution that doesn’t involve a Jewish genocide. So we can easily dispense the hypocritical and/or befuddled notion so many people have who pretend their anti-Semitism isn’t what it is but is ‘just’ anti-Zionist. Such people whether they know it or not are actually endangering the Jewish state and by doing so furthering the very goals of Hitler when it comes to eradicating Jews. One might presume that that’s not a good sign one is taking the moral high ground.
