This is a brutal attack on freedom of speech and expression. The people of the UK need to stand up and stand up quickly before they lose more of their rights and freedoms.

Just the imagine the tangled nightmare of how this is enforced. Who decides what is “hate speech”? What is the metric used? I cannot believe this is actually a thing in 2024.
That couldn’t possible happen in Canada…

Oh dear…

It’s Orwellian. I can’t wait to get my TruthSpeak book of rules and regulations. From the US’ Department of Pre-Crime (ask Tulsi Gabbard what that looks like in action) to Canada’s proposed Online Harms Act that allows people who fear they may become a victim of some future ‘hate crime’ (likely to be subject to detestation or vilification) to get the system to take the target to pre-court trial and put the accused person under ‘recognizance’ (house arrest or electronic surveillance and order them to abstain from alcohol and drugs) or 12 months in prison. And now the EU wants to be able to extradite those who actually commit free speech and offend somebody, and woe to anyone who ‘unreasonably’ expects the state to support their fundamental right to do so. And look at all the sheeple rushing to support this lawfare against free speech in the name of ‘protecting’ others. As Musk says to such True Believers in the righteousness of their stark and Orwellian authoritarianism, “TAKE A BIG STEP BACK AND LITERALLY, FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!”
This dystopian authoritarian feature of today’s so-called liberals is not unusual anywhere. It’s no longer a bug. It’s a feature.
