Wow, this is still a thing. Drunk women do not deserve to get raped. Ever.

I am NOT saying that all cases could have been avoided but certain ones yes. My thing is that girls that go to parties and get drunk don’t blame themselves a tiny bit. That’s what I was specifying. If you go to a party without people you trust then you really are to blame.
And if I walk outside alone with a wallet in my pocket, and I get mugged, I’m to blame. And if I work nights at a convenience store and it gets robbed, I’m to blame. And if I drive a car on the highway and someone else is on their cell phone and they hit my car, I’m to blame. And if I trust that the chicken sandwich I bought at a fast food chain is safe to eat and I get food poisoning, I’m to blame. And if I go outside of my home and am attacked by an angry, escaped dog off its leash, I am to blame. Sound about right?
The penalty for getting drunk should be a hangover.
Not rape.

I’m also happy that attention is being called to the increase of false rape allegations.
Feminists want “equality”, but when a man is falsely accused of rape…they don’t care, and don’t do anything to help that man.

Fun Fact! Only 2-8 % of rape reports are false. Even funnier fact : it’s equal or even under the percentage of false accusations of other crimes. Just for example, 10% of car theft reports are false reports. Taking into account that 46% of rapes aren’t even reported and 97% of rapists never even spend a day in jail, false rape accusations are a non-issue, really.

They ripped off the “Don’t Be That Guy” anti rape posters and illegally posted their pro rape posters.
I guess that is what passes for activism at A Voice For Men. Along with their efforts to convince their members to participate in jury nullification if a rape case ever makes it to trial. No matter how guilty the d00d is or how horrible the crime.

It is embarrassing when your hometown makes news on the Internets for having induhviduals who think that rape apologia is a-fucking-okay. And as with all Men’s Rights Activist content, it is nothing but baseless assertions tinged with whinging about how tough men have it in society. Almost like the Patriarchy didn’t exist. Making shit up is nothing new for MRA’s though, as evinced here:

“It frames all men as potential sexual predators,” she said.
Ah yes, because somehow the idea of consent being a necessary part of any sexual encounter demonizes men.
Lise Gotell, chair of women and gender studies at the University of Alberta, worked on the original “Don’t be that guy” campaign. She believes the new posters send the wrong message.
“They’ve perverted the message,” she said. “And they’ve transformed it into a rape apologist message and it’s just very disturbing.”
It is very disturbing because the message being sent reinforces the rape culture women have to deal with every day.

The insipid organization known as the Catholic Church continues to fumble along now begging forgiveness for violating children and destroying their lives.

Well that is nice, but as the CBC reports it is too little, a lot too late.
“Benedict made the pledge during a Mass Friday in St. Peter’s Square, marking the end of the Vatican’s Year of the Priest, a celebration of the priesthood that has been marred by revelations of hundreds of new cases of clerical abuse, coverup and Vatican inaction to root out pedophiles.”
I’m sure that now, he means business.
“On Thursday, Benedict strongly defended celibacy for priests as a sign of faith in an increasingly secular world, insisting on a church tradition that has come under scrutiny amid the clerical sex abuse scandal.”
Well, it would seem there is a correlation of sorts between sex starved priests and the innocent children they systematically and repeatedly target. One might, if possessing even a moderate grasp of reality, ascertain that the policy of Celibacy for priests is not working very well. Will the pious make a decision based in the real world? Wait for it.
