Sometimes you smile when you hear the misrepresentations of what Universal Heathcare. Other times you get righteously pissed off. This is neither. I knew the teabaggers were ass-hats, through and through, talking foolish nonsense, and being blindingly ignorant of history, but the picture below goes too far.
Yes, that really is a picture from a concentration camp, victims of state murder. And they(our tinfoil hat wearing, retarded-ignorant-hate-spewing-monkey-bile-for-brains- teabagging representatives) are equating state sponsored mass murder with Universal Health Care.
Un-frakking- believable. The ignorance demonstrated by these people is mind shattering.

That stuff makes me just crazy, and then it makes me sad. A few of us (Hi Arbourist) have recently been banging our collective heads up against a conservative christian ‘merican who calls himself “An Informed Mind”.
It’s clearly been a waste of our elegant efforts. And there are millions of him. They only come out and yell and scream by the tens of thousands perhaps, but there are millions lurking, who agree with every word – even if, like the guy in the video – they really don’t know what anything they believe actually means.

It is interesting though, True Logic is really putting the screws to informed mind at the moment. I’m not sure that he’s ready to have his views challenged. What I do see is a lot of defensive posturing and avoiding points (scriptural and otherwise) and not really dealing with the issues at hand.
The intertoobz are not a nice place, especially when you possess a minority opinion. I think perhaps informed mind has been safely commenting on blogs more that reflect his point of view more closely. He strayed into territory now that he may not be ready to handle.
I hope the tide changes in the US, Moe. I’d like to see a strong Democratic and a strong Republican party that actually represent the interests of the people, rather than the business class.
What I find completely galling is that many conservatives routinely vote against there class interests. I refer you to “What’s the Matter with Kansas” a book by Thomas Frank for a insightful look at this phenomena.

Odd, I replied to A yesterday but the comment isn’t here. True Logic and our ‘Merican are apparently going at it hard and heavy ( l-o-n-g posts). I found a dozen notices in my inbox this morning. I am, however done over there because Informed seems to come from ‘dogma’ and anything that does not fit is anethma. No breaking through that!

A group in Florida has filed to form a new political party. The Tea Party. And this is true. So just shoot me.

This guy is certainly not well spoken but seriously folks, are you any better? Ass hats and tea baggers? C’mon, what part of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
do you have a problem with? And why not engage people with intellegent criticism instead of schoolyard name calling. This applies to both sides the name calling and vitreol (sp) is deeply unproductive. What would be productive is calm intellegent debate.

Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
The above points often coincide with the continuation of the status quo, that is the continued socialism for the rich and dog eat dog capitalism for the rest of us.
So, if you like the increasing inequality and lower standards of living for the majority of people in the country please continue to push the idea that less government regulation and redistributive policies, and the delusionally magical panacea of the free market will fix everything.
The tea party platform is everything the corporatist elite wants to have happen. Fiscal responsibility means cutting health and welfare for the poor and funnelling the profits to the rich, limited government means a trip back to the age of Robber barons and the grand larceny associated with the monopolies that they established and finally the mythos of the free market which means less government regulation in the market place so the aforementioned companies can rip you off and kill you in a multitude of ways with their unsafe, but extremely profitable products.
And why not engage people with [sic]intellegent criticism instead of schoolyard name calling.
So we will go down that particular road, however, for informed intelligent debate to occur charitable interpretations of both sides must be present and opponents must be willing to listen to reasonable critiques of of their respective positions.
The TB party still identifies Obama as a socialist, is against universal healthcare ( a feature of most industrialized societies) and believe the government in general is out to get them.
Let it be said that rational debate is not the TB’ers strong suit.
