This is from the Hobbit an Unexpected Journey when the dwarves invade poor Bilblo’s house and then, after awhile, sing melancholic songs about their lost home. I’m scouring the net looking for arrangements of this song so I can put together a singable piece for my choir.
Lyrics:
Far over the misty mountains cold.
To dungeons deep, and caverns old.
We must away,’ere break of day.
To find our long forgotten gold.
The pines were roaring on the height.
The winds were moaning in the night.
The fire was red, it flaming spread.
The trees like torches blazed with light.
