Would have rather seen the three thugs beat the $hit out of the two jerks to where they couldn’t smile, and then have Adult Addams tell them they’d be “prettier if they smiled”. Is that wrong?

You’re probably right, but I bet my way would eradicate catcalling a lot faster.
Better yet, what were all the other guys on the street doing when the catcalling happened in the first place? They should be stepping in at the onset to stop the crime.
