Oooh, nice thought! Of course that means that the need are just going to invent new religions as the old ones become myths (does Scientology count?).

People will always invent new and exciting ways to protect themselves from existential crisis.
Enough people in society need to know that, and be able to identify the next bamboozle that comes down the line. :)
