I like a nice glass of milk once and awhile. The real love comes when we get down to business with cheese and sour cream though, both go so well with perogies. :)

In regards to food health I find a lot of myths out there. A simple thing to remember is that humans have evolved, like any other species, to eat whatever and wherever we can. The idea that there is some sort of perfect diet is a naturalistic fallacy and is akin to creationism thinking (God created a perfect diet for his perfect being).
As there better and worse diets out there? Sure. Does is vary wildly from person to person and their circumstances? Of course. And most importantly is the fact that the more we know about diet and nutrition the more we know we don’t know. Past recommendations have been completely off base, like somehow fresh vegetables are better than frozen when the opposite can be true, especially in northern climates where we import much of our vegetables.

I was sorely disappointed in perogies, once I finally got to try them.
Sour cream is the only condiment that matters. And should be on or in everything.

Oh no! :/ Perogies are food of the gods. Some people pan-fry them after boiling them to change the texture…

I like most Russian/Polish type foods, and I had never had them. I didn’t make them from scratch, I got frozen ones that were highly rated. And I didn’t boil them, I coated them with butter and cooked them in my airfryer.
They were crispy, and good for what they were. They were potato and cheese. The onion ones might be less bland, but I have dogs that demand bites of food, so I don’t ever prepare anything onion.
Also, in the states, our food is not really food. It’s chemicals and pesticides and probably solient green. Even “fresh” veg and fruit are not all that good. It’s very sad. Because I really like to eat.
