@southernpov
Pardon? How would making it harder to access reproductive health care for women and endangering their well-being be a considered a big-win?
I have always been an strong advocate for Women’s Choice and their rights.
So, I’m not sure I understand the message here.

Arb, the unwritten rule is that to question or criticize the abusive trans movement means you must be a right wing evangelical fascist authoritarian. Reasons? Pfft. Why should anyone listen to a right wing evangelical fascist authoritarian?
See how this works? Tolerance and respect for diversity means tolerating exactly one ‘approved’ ideology diverse from all the wrong ones. That makes you the Other, as in “for you and yours.” Southernpov cares not at all about what you actually think, what your opinions actually are; none of it matters because the commentator has slotted you into the ‘correct’ Other category and so already knows with certainty just how terrible a person you must be to dare to disagree with the trans movement. Not for one second did this commentator bother to listen and learn from the speaker and so remains clueless that he/she has demonstrated being part of the problem, a willing yet intolerant abuser and enabler of an ideology truly hostile to what’s true, what’s real, and what is respectful.

Given our history Tildeb, I think we can both agree that I’m pretty far away from being right-wing, fascist, or evangelical. It’s strange to see the sort of monstering that goes on by people who ostensibly believe in human rights, dignity, and justice for all.
The duplicity on display in many conversations with Leftists illustrate why it so difficult to have a meaningful conversation with them. Tolerance and respect one would think would have to be a two way street. But, given the evidence presented here, at least by SPV that would not be the case.
Directly addressing you SPV – Do you see that tag cloud on along the left side? Click on the “Abortion” tab and then come talk to me about me and my lot.
Back to you Tildeb – We disagree on a variety of topics, but not once did you attack the content of my character or haphazardly lump me in with a group of similar deplorables. It was almost always a critique of the idea’s being put forth or how they were framed or some other epistemological concern.
Your criticisms made me *think* about my position, which is pretty much the polar opposite of what SPV seems to have done (identity based shaming).
Anyhow, SPV you are welcome to demonstrate your claims here and show how they are correct and justified.

I’m a big fan of discourse. I want to know why someone thinks what they do because sometimes the reasons for doing so are better informed than my own for a contrary opinion. When I then change my mind and say as much, I always thank the person for taking the time and going to the trouble of offering me an opportunity to learn, to change my mind due to better reasons, and this seems to cause a great deal of surprise and some level of shock. Isn’t that a shame.
This is why we have a history if discourse and explanations here on DWR that have at times been at odds. That’s a good thing. How boring would it be if everyone agreed about everything all the time? Where could learning ever happen? It takes a rather large dose of ego to assume all is known already.
And so the absence of honest discourse with the ideologues of the woke who name call rather than honestly engage with respect demonstrates exactly zero learning. SPV has no attachment in reality, in truth, to what s/he is saying about you. Just the drive-by smear.
In the world of the ideologue like SPV, there is no qualitative difference between accusation and judgement… and “you and yours” have been found guilty by SPV so that becomes what’s true to SPV even if it is patently and demonstrably wrong as it is in fact. Your sidebar easily demonstrates that. So it’s my experience that facts don’t matter to the faith-addled. Belief in the certainty of one’s faith is everything to the dedicated ideologue. So there is no common language left for discourse, for learning, because only the uncritical blind acceptance of the faith – the One True Faith, let’s be clear – counts in such an alternate faith-based reality.
