The DWR Sunday Disservice – Cells

I can’t stand how he looks like a skateboarder-dude/fratboy anyway, lol(!).

The biggest self-realization, in my own opinion, I think a woman can have an epiphany (a word befitting of while you’re on a “religious” theme!) about regarding sex (the act) is: SO MUCH of what (male-dominated) society advertises as “sexy” HAS NOTHING. TO. DO. AT. ALL. with *actually* wanting/EXPECTING HONESTY & TRUST from your partner in a relationship. There is *nothing* “sexy” about being in a situation sharing a bed with an abuser and/or liar….no matter if he (and: with apologies to lesbian women for this just being a personal, hetero, experience I’ve been in) wants to pretend he’s still a Boy Scout like Kavanaugh or he’s lavishing upon you irritating-as-hell porn lingerie as [his idea of] a Commandment for a loving marriage(!). The parents of the Tik-Tok generation next, don’t appear to know what the ‘eff is going on themselves to realize furthering this cultural mentality IS a problem either (I always love reading the way Anna Slatz’s commentary totally nails this issue; of how the Internet is now the number one toxic contagion of it….replacing, I would say, the influence religion had in promoting the same patriarchal system for centuries).

Besides reproductive autonomy, another (glaring) social double-standard I’ve always been upset about (having always tried to keep active since having participated in youth athletics) is (and: again, the entire “trans” lunacy even pings-back to THIS issue): the (now, especially) almost total disregard for and mocking-of women’s sports; as well as, the way the constant sexualization, for example, of fitness makes the act of a woman being strong and courageous (two things any normal person likes to certainly aspire toward when trying to maintain a workout schedule!) being, itself, seen as a “threat to the gatekeepers”. The usual guardians of everything no good feel like they must be clever-or-something(?)….using this constantly idiotic and dehumanizing sexualization (of, ironically: what, otherwise, should signify being HEALTHY) as if it’s just a [badly pathetic] attempt, on the part of masochists, to subliminally cheapen yet another facet of a woman’s daring to independently CHOOSE.

I will now bid you all a fond adieu and go back to (sarcastically!) enjoying the 92-degree F heat wave and drought we have had in the U.S. state of New Jersey for the past week: in my well-worn, $15 stretch pants from Walmart I do not think are “sexy” nor an “invitation” (anyone can say what they want about leggings: but when you’re in-between pant sizes and 5’ 7″, they sure are a better alternative than having to spend $80+ on designer label slacks to get a tailored fit)….as I (hope) that I am not alone in this world in the things I believe in.
