A lot of good stuff here. I thought the anxiety part was interesting – I’ve encountered a lot of that – as was the notion of finding ways to stoke cognitive dissonance through emotion. I also agree completely with the idea of owning one’s opinions by having done the work to arrive on these and to recognize when someone doesn’t own the one he or she is advancing but is parroting the ideology’s (or religion’s) position not because it’s right but because it’s believed.

Another key observation is about the differences between bad faith actors and the useful tools who do their work for them. Also, recognizing the belief that the totalitarian fundamental necessity about the ends justifying the means opens the door to justifying the very worst of human behaviour in spite of history replete with examples about exactly this result when such a belief is widely applied – but that pointing this out supposedly places one in the ideologue’s mind ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY!!!
I think an excellent question is to ask DEI supporters what are the benchmarks in data to indicate WHEN the equity programs are successful, and willing to explain at what point unequal treatment can be stopped. No ideologue I know has been able to answer this question with hard numbers.

Regarding the relief Keri felt after giving up her Social Justice beliefs reminds me of an explanation I read here. It goes to the point of why muddling the language serves activists and why it’s an effective tool used to work against those who might disagree. Not conceding the linguistic ground to the gender activists I think is a key element in defeating it by showing its incoherence with reality. I also think this is why such clarity of language is targeted as ‘hate speech’ because it shows us the extent of the lies we have to go along with to believe in gender identity.
