The overt antisemitism was removed for the final draft… I don’t seem to remember my course syllabi being activist and promoting the ludicrous idea of safe spaces.
University is meant to be a place where you can be challenged and your thoughts and methodologies scrutinized and criticized so you can become a better thinker.
The last paragraph speaks against all of what University is supposed to be about.

Ya know, back in the day, children were taught manners, usually by their parents but certainly reinforced by their grandparents, the school they attended & their church. In 2024, we have at least two generations of young adults who have had no training in how to act in public whatsoever. What they have seen is an endless line of snark & stupidity from TV & movies & video games.
This is why that last paragraph is necessary. Because the younger generations do not know proper etiquette, good manners, or how to talk civilly to people with whom you disagree. So it has to be spelled out or else the classroom becomes a episode of Jerry Springer.
I agree, college is supposed to be a place where you are challenged, where you meet people radically different from yourself, where feeling “safe” is not the goal ~ learning & experience is.

Anti-Zionism is the new term for anti Semitic. If someone says it’s not, that they’re not anti-Semitic just anti-Zionist, see if they hold Liberia, Pakistan, Syria, Jordan, Iraq et al to the same standard. Oh look…

WTF? Students are expected to display generosity at all times? Just what are the prerequisites for this supposed course? And who the fuck is the professor offering this abomination? How does one remain safe from the meddling asshole in charge?
