It has been a stressful week here at DWR central. So be prepared for a video heavy/prose light week this upcoming week.
The Disservice today is a short clip from the show Dexter on religion and belief. It’s nice to see television media approaching the question of religion and atheism.
It is awesome to watch the faithful whirl in indignation when they are called on the bullshite they believe in. I’m not sure what Fox news was trying to do with this piece other than making their hosts look foolish.
The US is plodding back to the Dark Ages with their delusional christian inanity at their side, guiding them into a second Dark Age.
The youtube atheist community is being unusually productive and insightful as of late. DarkMatter2525 take the idea of rejection in relationships and makes a fairly sound analogy to how people view themselves and their belief in god. Furthermore, he details why atheists get some hate directed their way because of their skepticism and general lack of belief in magic.
Hmmm… a mainstream movie that has an atheist hero? What next? A politician that does not have to believe in fairy tales to be elected?
