I run across this argument WAY to often. As a way to help set the record straight I post Non Stamp Collector’s Special investigation on the big three strawmen the religiously addled attempt to use when discussing history.

There has to be an element of truth in Sarcasm. The interviews were quite good. The discussion by the two commentators at the end does not have enough truth in it . Their atheist statements are too blatant to be good satire .

I was thinking of a few threads that we participated in when these common misconceptions were brought up about the so called Atheistic regimes. Now I have something to reference when people try to argue incorrectly about history. ‘
Nice to see you over here Mr. Scott, must be a slow day at the Retort :)

The Arbourist,
I think I wore poor Ben Hoffman out. So I figured I’d come over here.

Well thanks for coming by Alan, much appreciated. Unfortunately, people do not comment as frequently here, so its a little more boring. The opinions I express are a little closer to Canadian mainstream thought, so I’m not as controversial as when I start in over at Ben’s place.
Damn Canadians, communists all of them. :)

The Arbourist,
. A lot of your topics do not lend themselves to my talents. Nearly anything Hoffman posts, I feel an overwhelming drive to comment against. So far, other than your anti religious topics, I don’t feel I bring anything to the table . But, I have faith that you will post something I must disagree with.
I was going to make a snide comment about Canada because I spent all morning removing a bent Canadian nickel out of an old payphone, but the way my Country is devaluing it’s currency by printing money, that nickel may soon be worth a lot in greenbacks . Anyway as long as you guys keep sending your oil down here, since we are now too stupid to drill with out asphalting our beeches, I am just fine with Canadian Communism.
