When the comedians come out in full force calling for civilized debate, we know something is seriously awry with the political discourse in the United States.
Considering the level of civility displayed…
Or the crazy sauce word salad that oozes forth from the tea parties candidates:
Today, it seems that American electorate has a stark choice to make between sanity
or unreality stances on how to govern a nation…
I can only hope that people choose wisely because we need less, not more, crazy in politics.

Unfortunately, not everyone in that crowd was on the side of sanity.

The disconnect fostered by society is sadly amazing. *sigh*

Olbermann. I cringe every time I hear that guy speak. Why use big words when diminutive ones will do, hey Keith?

Vern R. Kaine,
” Olbermann. I cringe every time I hear that guy speak. Why use big words when diminutive ones will do, hey Keith? ”
Because the man is a sophist. Many liberals are. The large words are there to confuse and obscure. Even when you know he is full of crap, you still have to get past his language to see what he actually said, as opposed to what he implies. This gives the man plausible deniability when he is challenged on his lies.
Also because he believes himself to be in the tradition of Edward R. Murrow, big words and complex phrases confirm his own intelligence to his brittle ego.
