Who would have thought this illegitimate child of 60s American hippie leftists would have escaped being aborted before birth ? At least the fact that she hates her country means that the theory of all children becoming the political opposites of their parents is not valid . The handing down of family values is always comforting .

Should have been killed at birth and unpatriotic, I bet she’s a communist as well. Let’s get out our flags, sharpen our pitchforks and wave them madly in the face of cogent argumentation, because these things, not to mention the Ford Pinto, are what make America great.

As related to trickle down economics, I move there we should all collectively rename trickle down to dam up economics. Cause that’s what really happens. Trickle down economics is the lie used by the plutocracy to maintain the plutocracy. Any money that has broken free of the dam and that does trickle down from the ultra rich is because of those pesky laws like the abolition of slavery, minimum wage, 1 person 1 vote + abolition of non-person voting laws, collective bargaining, and the freedom of people to associate.

The Arbourist ,
” Should have been killed at birth and unpatriotic, ”
Be very careful about the words you put in my mouth . And by the way , I agree, the Pinto was a real POS . Not as bad as the Vega, and not as ugly as the Gremlin ,of which I once was the proud owner of a purple one .
Bleatmop ,
So you hate trickle down ? How many poor people have you ever worked for ?

Sorry Mr.Scott, I figured I would stay with the terms that define person hood at birth as opposed to the other erroneous notions that are floating around out there.
I was hoping you’d be okay with a terminology that does not marginalize women or promote their role as mere baby factories rather than fully autonomous human beings.
Feel free to correct my statements and and the requisite amount of ‘teh crazy’ as you see fit. :)

No problem, and it is my pleasure :) I had trouble finding a good vid to post on here though, as some clips end with a rather blatant sexualization and objectification of women, which seems to me to be a rather misplaced attempt at being ‘edgy’ and completely out of place given the general content of the vids in question.

The Arbourist ,
I never said anyone should be killed . I agree though with the thought that there is almost no difference between the young lady and a dyed in the wool Communist . I find your efforts to not marginalize women or promote baby factory labels to be , what is the term , patronizing . Also quite amusing coming from a hard core Atheist .
Since you do not believe in a higher power , not even Karma , your beliefs put humankind on the same plane as every other organism here on God’s green Earth . The rule of all life is to survive and then reproduce . Success as a species and also individually is to leave as many descendants as possible . This would seem to contradict both your distaste for baby factories and your support for abortion .

” I agree though with the thought that there is almost no difference between the young lady and a dyed in the wool Communist .”
That was facetious. This video criticises one political group and their economic views. It doesn’t actually promote an alternative. That means saying she’s a communist is purely speculative. I know you may have a hard time with this, but your speculations do NOT have a direct correlation with reality simply because you have imagined them.
“Since you do not believe in a higher power , not even Karma , your beliefs put humankind on the same plane as every other organism here on God’s green Earth .”
1) Same as above. Just because one disagrees with your position, doesn’t mean you get to invent the “only alternative” that they must therefore adhere to. That’s called a false dichotomy.
2)Saying ‘you don’t believe in god’ and ‘you believe x about god’s earth’ is incoherent. Inventing your opponent’s position is bad enough, but try not to strawman as well.
3)The earth is blue mostly (most of it is covered by water). Maybe reddish brown if you strictly meant landmass. Green is pretty far down the list.
“Success as a species and also individually is to leave as many descendants as possible .”
Even when you make up your opponent’s position, you refutations are fallacious.
Going on an all out species-wide procreation spree leads to overpopulation which can wreak havoc on an ecosystem and result in starvation and generally bad news all around for the super breeding species. Biology 101
As far as individually, that’s the cool thing about humans and our capacity for abstract thought (for most of us, that is). We can look beyond our mere biology and decide that passing on genetic information isn’t that important.
A person can choose to spend there efforts pursuing music, architecture, technology, medicine, or any of multitude of endeavours and contribute greatly to society as a whole and achieve self-fulfilment, all without bearing offspring. That is not to say that these are mutually exclusive, but simply that one might opt out of childrearing and still lead a meaningful, purposeful life.
Don’t invent other people’s positions. Especially if you can’t make your inventions believable or even refute your own strawman creations.

How? This is really quite interesting because in not marginalizing women one tries to treat them as fully human and there is not, at least to my mind anything patronizing about that.
Could you be searching for a different word other than patronizing? I think that my responses to you have been rather “glib” as I tend not to take arguing with you seriously anymore because of the amazing technicolour-shite you routinely pull out of your ass. Full marks to Mystro though (see Mystro’s response above) who has formidable patience as he regularly takes time to charitably deconstruct and illustrate how wrong your arguments actually are.
Since you do not believe in a higher power , not even Karma , your beliefs put humankind on the same plane as every other organism here on God’s green Earth .
Welcome to the rational view of human kind Mr.Scott.
Success as a species and also individually is to leave as many descendants as possible .
That would be true if we did not have a little thing called civilization. We rarely have to rely on biological imperatives anymore.
This would seem to contradict both your distaste for baby factories and your support for abortion .
Or at least the strawman you set up and have decided to go to town with. :)

Gentlemen, those are quite detailed rebuttals . I don’t accept your points but , for left wing socialist atheists, at least you make clear arguments .
If the young lady is not a marxist, what is she ? She sure quacks and speaks like a communist . Don’t know how she walks .
So what is your higher purpose in life ? What motivates you to go beyond the petty biological drives of every day existence ? There is no God . There is no biological imperative to spread your genetic material .
Ahhhh , , , civilization . That is your higher purpose . To spread your civilization . To do as Rome did and spread your culture and cultural values among the barbarian tribes you happen to come in contact with .
So that is what your reason for living is . Your reason to care about the earth after you leave it . That is your reason for doing good . You have no afterlife to strive for . You have no descendants to worry about and leave your fortunes and genetic material to .
But to return to one of your points , ” Going on an all out species-wide procreation spree leads to overpopulation which can wreak havoc on an ecosystem and result in starvation and generally bad news all around for the super breeding species. Biology 101 ”
It is fortunate for the human species that individuals such as yourselves evolved who can see the big picture and help regulate our numbers . Most organisms from bacteria to rats and pigs will eat and breed themselves into disaster whenever a predator free environment and food source becomes available . The competition within the species and between individuals mandate that it must happen .
Imagine a plague of rats and in the midst a few rats such as yourselves decide not to breed and try to control the rest of the population so as to not destroy the local environment and have a mass population correction later when the food gave out .
The rats could then pursue ” music, architecture, technology, medicine, or any of multitude of endeavours and contribute greatly to society as a whole and achieve self-fulfilment, all without bearing offspring. ”
Unfortunately this group of ‘ Northern ‘ rats would one day be over run and replaced by a less cultured, more prolific co species of rats , probably from, I don’t know , , , the middle east .

“you make clear arguments ”
And yet you continually misrepresent them, ignore them, and/or replace them with some bullshit you invent. Making clear arguments is a way to ensure that if your opposition has a legitimate way of refuting your arguments, they can easily do so. That way the chances of learning and improving are greater.
It also makes it evident when people misrepresent them, ignore them, and/or replace them with some bullshit they invent, they haven’t got a leg to stand on.
“I don’t accept your points”
Which ones? That inventing a strawman position for your opposition is bad form or that the earth is blue?
“If the young lady is not a marxist, what is she ? She sure quacks and speaks like a communist .”
All that’s clear is she is not a supporter of the tea party. And she gave pretty good reasons for not supporting the tea party. But as per usual, you just ignore what is said and fill in the gaps with whatever lunacy you can come up with.
“That is your higher purpose . To spread your civilization ”
I never said anything about spreading. I talked purely about improving. Making things better. Mutual well being. What did I tell you about inventing positions for the other side?
“It is fortunate for the human species that individuals such as yourselves evolved who can see the big picture and help regulate our numbers .”
I can assure you, I hold no sway over human population and I certainly don’t regulate it, nor am I saying I should. I simply made it quite clear that your assertion that ‘an atheist’s only possible purpose is biological reproduction’ was ludicrous, much like everything else you’ve said.
I must say, though, you outdid yourself with that rat story. Its been a while since you’ve posted anything that incoherent or irrelevant or plain bat shit crazy on so many levels. I don’t know where to start. The ol’ bewilder-them-with-bullshit routine. Problem is, it doesn’t work when your mark recognizes it as bs.
I’ll just point out that “multitude of endeavours [that] contribute greatly to society as a whole” would include great advances in defence, communication, education, diplomacy, and many other fields that would help stave off annihilation from hostiles.
