The Arbourist,
You are good at making false arguments and premises. There is no credible effort to expel Atheists. Atheists are the ones attacking religious Americans. You project your actions onto innocent Christians .
But between you and me, you can have most of those Atheists you show. I mean you got the room .

“There is no credible effort to expel Atheists.”
Of course not. Nothing done in the name of religion is credible.

Mystro,
By credible, I mean no organized large scale effort. And I repeat, you are they guys attacking Christians, not the other way around .
If Atheists leave us alone, we generally leave you guys alone . Of course you cannot resist kicking the hornets nest.

By credible I mean what it actually means
cred·i·ble [kred-uh-buhl]
adjective
1. capable of being believed; believable: a credible statement.
2. worthy of belief or confidence; trustworthy: a credible witness.
I know christians are all about contrived meanings, but I really wish you’d understand that such dishonesty and/or ignorance is not a good thing.
” you are they guys attacking Christians.”
We criticize christian ideas that hurt societies and the people in them. We do not actually attack the people. I’ve explained to you before that criticising ideas and attacking people isn’t the same thing. Criticising ideas is how we determine which can stand up to rigorous scrutiny. You see this as “attacking” because chistian ideas can’t stand up to any scrutiny at all.
“If Atheists leave us alone, we generally leave you guys alone .”
Atheists are bullied, ostracised, demonised, kept from positions of high office, and that’s just what religious people to to us specifically. No, I’m not saying all religious people do these things. But there are enough of them with enough power to make it a huge societal problem. So if you don’t like us calling out christians on bad ideas and behaviour, perhaps you ought to clean up your religion and its practitioners so we don’t have such a vast tower of travesties to complain about.

Mystro ,
I am feeling extremely generous and will say you are naive. You do not seem to be aware of what your American brother Atheists are up to lately. In American colleges, Christian student groups that have been around forever are being banned or told they must accept new members who do not share the same values. This is all done by your Atheists trying to wipe out any religion that may still exist on campuses .
Then there was the story of another scumbag Atheist Professor who lowered his students grades if they dared say God Bless You, when someone sneezed.
So what horror stories do You have about poor little Atheists being picked on by those evil Christians ? I really want to know.

“your American brother Atheists”
sigh. Atheism isn’t actually a group. I have zero affiliation with anyone based solely on their theistic beliefs. It’s like not being a thief. Sure, on the one issue of thievery, we both figure its a bad idea, but we could very easily differ on a multitude of very important things, making us not ‘brothers’. So next time, try to provide an actual link between atheism and some sort of poor behaviour, other than just stating that some poor behaviour was done by someone who happened to be an atheist. If successful, you’ll be a hero of the church, cause it’s been two thousand years, and no such link has been made.
“Christian student groups that have been around forever are being banned or told they must accept new members who do not share the same values.”
I recall that story, I think. It was a chistian group getting funds and one of the requirements for getting funds was not discriminating against religion (or lack of religion) for membership. Way to be “attacked” for not being allowed to discriminate. A fairly good synopsis can be watched here:
“another scumbag Atheist Professor…”
Provide a source please, this sounds made up. If it isn’t, it doesn’t matter much. One example of a non-religious jerk doesn’t indicate anything – see my first paragraph.
” I really want to know.”
I doubt it, but here’s a couple real examples. That is, you can easily verify them yourself, if you so wish.
Last I checked, there are 7 states that prohibit atheists from holding public office. That’s officially instated discrimination.
Or, if you’re looking for something a bit more personal, sometimes christians deprive atheists of their children.

Mystro,
I agree with you on this one case that the father being an Agnostic should have no bearing on his time with his kids. However, I just find it impossible to believe that any states ban Atheists from office. Prove it.
Actually I was in error about the college Professor lowering grades for students saying God Bless You. It was a high school teacher .

Thanks for the source. But as I mentioned last post, a single teacher being a jerk-face doesn’t make your point. Especially since, at the end of the news clip, it said that the school agreed that the teacher was in the wrong. All you did was find a lone teacher in error.
Now, to the proof you requested.
Here are links to some State constitutions

First, any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God.”

So, impossible to believe, huh? Yeah, those ‘fact’ things can be very hard for theists to swallow. Reality sometimes doesn’t jive with their preferred way of viewing things. But for some reason, when these conflicts happen, theists tend to deny reality instead of their treasured dogma. Not very honest, is it?

Mystro,
I need time to check what you posted, but I have one question. Are these restrictions actually enforced ? Every State has old laws on the books which are not currently enforced and which government just has not gotten around to taking off of the books .

Constitutionally mandated discrimination and you want to belittle it by saying it isn’t routinely enforced? What the fuck? CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED DISCRIMINATION. You come up with one lousy teacher who was immediately overruled by the school as your “evidence” for the massive oppression of christians, whereas I show you that there is officially institutionalized bigotry across no less than seven states, and you want to make excuses for that? You don’t see that as a double standard? You don’t see that as grossly dishonest and unjust? Really?
And by the way, no, these aren’t forgotten laws. Recently a man had to undergo an 8 year court battle to keep the job he was elected for, because he was an atheist. 8 years. Look it up yourself, I’m tired of researching for you, only to be ignored. You’re going to be “generous” and say I’m ‘naive’? What a load of shit.

Mstro,
” you want to belittle it by saying it isn’t routinely enforced? ”
I asked you a question because I did not know . I find it inconceivable that you Atheists would not sue those States to death, if someone was denied an office over these laws . You know litigation ? That is how you guys operate. Sue people to death or at least into bankruptcy .
” What the fuck? CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED DISCRIMINATION. ”
I am having or trying to have a civil conversation . You anger me just as much, but I do not resort to your tactics .
” You’re going to be “generous” and say I’m ‘naive’? ”
The alternative is to call you a liar . Since you obvious believe what you are writing , I will not .

“I asked you a question because I did not know . ”
No, you asked the question because you wanted a cop-out justification for the discrimination of atheists so you could keep playing your bullshit ‘christians are the oppressed ones’ card. No dice.
“I find it inconceivable…”
What you find inconceivable is of zero consequence. Maybe its time you stepped out of your little bubble of delusion and try some reality. I gave you links to the actual state constitutions. I can’t think of harder evidence than official documents. Yet you still talk of it being ‘inconceivable’. Your ability to ignore facts that threaten your fairy tale views is mind boggling.
“That is how you guys operate. Sue people to death or at least into bankruptcy ”
Sure sounds like you’re talking out of your ass. Making wild, baseless claims is not how to conduct a civil conversation. Did you miss the ‘making shit up is uncooth’ lesson in manners class?
“The alternative is to call you a liar .”
As mentioned above, I backed up everything I said with fairly solid evidence (though you seem intent on ignoring it). The point is, if reality supports my position, then I’m not naive or lying. I’m right. The fact you don’t believe what I’m writing, despite it being sourced and independently verifiable is indicative of your close-minded and delusional view of the world. I’m sure your religion is proud to have such a mindless zealot championing its nonsense. Good work.
