I never believed those industry numbers for a second (who could?)
The industry (movie or music) makes the assumption that anything downloaded illegally would have been something otherwise bought, which I don’t believe is always the case. Plus, show me any record label, movie studio, or acting or recording star that has gone broke because of theft.
The way I see it, I’ll likely never have a screen the size of the ones in movie theaters nor a sound system to match, so until I can afford my own theater, they’ll get $12-$15 out of me each time they put out something decent enough to go out for.
