Wow. That completely reshaped my understanding of the origins of the universe. Albeit it is not something that I’ve studied, but I still thought I had a layperson grasp on what it was.

There are a couple of wonderful books on this topic. Lawrence Krauss’s A Universe from Nothing is a good place to start if you have the time/interest. :)
