I’m pretty much done with Winter by this time of the year, but I have to agree with MinutePhysics that despite the rest of the seasonal maladies, the full moon is pretty spectacular. :)

I’ve yet to see the aurora — every time there is a chance of it dipping this low, the sky clouds so heavily that one can’t even guess where the moon is, much less a display of the Northern lights.

The aurora borealis something to behold for sure. Being at a slightly higher latitude (53’N) I’ve had the opportunity to watch several events. I would recommend a trip North at least once for viewing :)

I speculate on a winter time trip somewhere just for that reason, but right now….prepping for retirement while still supporting my jobless, disabled veteran, college graduate son and his college girl bride-let? Not any time soon!
