But I don’t really think the problem down south has anything to do with legislation. To me it cultural and it’s problems are threefold. First, the USA views their constitution as a second bible. That the second amendment is in there they view owning guns as a social good and a god given right. Second they are an empire and as such they must glorify violence at home so that it is normal to glorify the violence that their military forces do abroad. Third USians value confrontation and domination as the means to settle disputes as opposed to collaboration and compromise. These things create a perfect storm where gun death is not only likely, it is inevitable in many situations. The media’s glorification or mass shootings only seems to add to the problem.
These things are unlikely to change anytime soon.
