Of course not, they are teaching the morally and spiritually correct way. If said methodology happens to be toxic toward the subject, so be it… :/

Part of my deconversion was when I was finally coerced to go back to church with my mother and brother. At that time I still vaguely believed in a god but I would rather watch football on Sundays that go to church. Well that Sunday my brother and mother were insistent that I go. I don’t remember what hymn that was being sung but I remember the entire congregation sing basically that they were sinful and wretched before god. You know, god’s perfect creation being wretched.
It was at that moment I know something was very wrong with all that religion business. It wasn’t when I officially deconverted (that happened over the course of years) but it was when I started having some serious questions about the xtian god if nothing else.
So ya, this image resonates with me. I’m glad my daughter will never be subject to the left hand column’s messaging. Not by my hand at least.
