Gender Identity:

  1. the totality of physical and behavioral traits that are designated by a culture as masculine or feminine

  2.  a person’s internal sense of being male, female, some combination of male and female, or neither male or female

Femininehaving qualities traditionally ascribed to women, as sensitivity or gentleness. —

Masculine: having qualities traditionally ascribed to men, as strength and boldness. —

I find these definitions interesting. Many of us are told by members of trans* community that we don’t understand how it feels because we’re “cis.” At first I accepted that. I am a cisgender male. Okay. My “gender identity” matches up with my biological sex. Cool.
