This is what happens sometimes when you fall down an youtube rabbit hole. You find an amazing person whose expertise and passion floor you, and the only thing you can do is watch more. :)
(Paraphrase) – ‘That is what is remarkable about the film John Wick, it is a story about grieving when you don’t have the time or the ability to do so.’

Cool! I found a similar series a while ago and happily lost a few hours learning about the craft and messages behind Joker.

Any movie of any genre that has a stellar supporting and cameo cast is usually a way to find gems hiding in plain site, whereas movies with big name leading actors may or may not be. Yes a John Wick movie is going to be extraordinarily violent and overflowing with choreography of fight scenes, but as the reviewer points out, look at what else is being put on film. Very often it’s something special and memorable and the cinematography in this trilogy really is breathtaking.

Mikey does a great analysis. I learned who Keno was only recently, apparently he’s a good guy. But I haven’t watched a Hollywood -pop-establishment/ culture movie in several decades.

Well, maybe Mikey will wet your whistle and you’ll take a peek at John Wick. :)
