Abortion should be easily accessible and readily available to any woman who wants one. She gets to decide how her body and her body’s resources are being used at anytime as she, at least nominally in Western societies, is considered a human being with rights and bodily autonomy.
Pregnancy is a ridiculously arduous and dangerous experience and it must always be a choice if we value freedom and liberty for the female half of society.
What is going on in the US is dangerous lunacy and will require women to once again band together and demand that their rights be respected and upheld by the law of the land.
Pregnancy or the threat of becoming pregnant until fairly recently has been used as a lever against female autonomy in society. We should not be heading back on this issue.

Here in Canada we should thank Saint Henry and remember that civil disobedience and redress via the court system is usually how we get social progress and protect the rights of (even) people who are loathed by the majority.

That’s twice you’ve referred to Dr. Morgentaler as ‘Saint’. Is it used as a slur, I wonder, as Dr. Morgentaler was not known to be religious. In fact, he was a dedicated man who got tired of watching women die unnecessarily and decided to dedicate his life to helping women. A hero, in my books.
Who are these people you refer to as being ‘loathed by the majority’? If you are Canadian you should realize that it’s not our way, to loathe people. We tolerate. :)
