Exhibit A: The Truth Matters
My fundamental right to assert the truth is the hill I am willing to die on. Here are some fundamental facts I will continue to assert because words have meanings and meanings matter:
· A “woman” is an adult human female.
· “Trans women” are not women. “Trans women” are trans-identifying males.
· A “man” is an adult human male. “Trans man” is a misleading oxymoron.
· Refusing to use misleading terminology to refer to trans people is not an expression of “hatred.”
· “Transphobia” cannot credibly be attributed to women because “phobia” means irrational fear. Female fear of male violence is perfectly rational because males are statistically significantly bigger, stronger and more prone to violence than females, particularly sexual violence.

One of the argumentative dodges that ideologues like to employ is something I’ve termed the ‘complexity dodge’. Now to clear many arguments and many issue are complex and nuanced and do require careful examination and sometimes expert knowledge to fully grasp in their entirety. Legitimate expert guidance and knowledge must not be dismissed when it comes to understanding and discussing issues that affect society.
However, certain contentious topics in society have intentionally had their definitional clarity muddied and obscured to prevent people from clearly understanding what the terms mean and how they are being used in social contexts. For instance the intentional blurring of boundaries around the word “woman” has created situations like this:
When a Supreme Court Justice hedges on correctly defining a woman as an adult human female we can know for certain that something weird is going on ‘under the hood’, so to speak.
The meaning of the word “woman” has been intentionally made fuzzy and unclear. The rival notion rather than ‘adult human female’ is ‘anyone who identifies as a woman’ which is clearly a circular definition because the definition when provided does not tell us what a woman actually is. If we cannot clearly define the terms in an argument it becomes very difficult to understand arguments and to parse the logic of people using the terms in question.

This is the kind of bullshite that goes on in Gotham when people have intentionally muddied the waters in the ideological pursuit of their goals. This exchange is from a thread about a Canadian Nurse being put on trial for adhering to basic human biological facts. It’s crazy making.
So, appreciate complexity and nuance but be aware that both of these attributes can be weaponized to make arguing much more difficult and onerous than it needs to be.

My name is Colin Wright, and I am an evolutionary biologist perhaps best known for arguing the (now controversial) position that biological sex is real, there are only two sexes, the differences between males and females matter, and that women are adult human females.
You might be wondering why this is relevant here at a rally about ending child mutilation. Well, it’s actually extremely relevant, because the justifications given for performing these horrific surgeries on children are rooted in absurd, reality-denying pseudoscience about basic biology.
It’s a pseudoscience that denies the existence of males and females.
It’s a pseudoscience that says biological sex is just an arbitrary social construct.
It’s a pseudoscience that says a person’s identity determines their biology.
And it’s a pseudoscience that says that a person can be born in the wrong body, which is demonstrated by having preferences or behaviors that are typically associated with the opposite sex.
Most people don’t realize how much our major scientific and medical institutions have been captured by this pseudoscience literally claiming that girls who are tomboys, and boys who are effeminate, are transgender.
But the American Psychological Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Psychiatric Association, and even the CDC, to name only a few, all literally define “transgender” as “persons whose expression or behavior does not conform to that which is typically associated with their sex.”
That’s their definition. Go look it up for yourself if you don’t believe me.
It doesn’t get much clearer than that. If your daughter is not a feminine girl, she’s actually a boy. And if your son is not a masculine boy, according to them, he’s actually a girl. Or even something else entirely different altogether.
This is absurd in the extreme.
We know that if left alone, many of these extremely “nonconforming” children will grow up to be normal, healthy, gay adults.
But now, because of gender ideology, these children are being told they have a mismatch between their gender identity and their biological sex, which can then be “fixed” with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery.
In addition to these beliefs defying all we know to be scientifically true about basic biology, they are also grotesque and evil.
What is occurring at Vanderbilt Medical, and hospitals and clinics all over the country in the name of gender pseudoscience, is a medical scandal of horrifying proportions.
And it has to end right now.
The king is dead, long live the king!
A must watch for parents with question about the social contagion that can do so much harm to their children.

“Of course, logic and reason tell us that biological sex, like natural selection, is a fact of life that isn’t going anywhere, and also that that’s perfectly OK. We don’t need to rail against genetics or sex in order to grow better crops, teach future generations to be good citizens, or express our feminine and masculine sides freely. Lysenkoism and the denial of biological reality did not lead to prosperity, bounty, and social cohesion; just the opposite: it ripped societies apart, and Lysenko is probably responsible for the deaths of more people than any other scientist in the twentieth century. In fact, it is the acceptance of genetics that has taught us how to make hardier crops, feed more people, and cure countless diseases, advancing society by leaps and bounds. Likewise, gender ideology and the denial of biological reality is not leading to an era of free and healthy gender expression; it’s creating a vast population of disillusioned, distressed and severely harmed detransitioners; it’s creating so much hostility to gays and lesbians that our heroes can’t even attend Pride parades without being violently assaulted by ideological mobs; and it’s gutting the legal rights and protections for women and girls that feminists have built up over more than a century of struggle.
Just like with genetic denialism, every single one of the ideals that gender identity ideologues aspire to is harmed, not helped, by the denial of biological sex. The acceptance and understanding of same-sex attracted people is entirely dependent on the acknowledgement of the facts of biological sex. Understanding and accepting the variety of gender expression in humans, and how it relates to our sexuality and our attraction to each other, is entirely dependent on acknowledging the facts of biological sex. Ensuring that women and girls can live their lives with as much freedom and dignity as men and boys do is entirely dependent on the acknowledgement of the differences between male and female bodies.
Everyone’s got to start paying attention. This is all just history repeating.”
